SALALAH, Aug 2
The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), through its Small and Medium Enterprises Committee, will host the 'Tamkeen and Sumou' exhibition in Dhofar Governorate on August 5, featuring the participation of over 60 small and medium-sized enterprises from diverse sectors.
Representing tourism, retail, food services and handicrafts, the participating businesses will showcase their offerings as part of the Chamber’s broader mission to promote economic diversification and empower local SMEs.
The exhibition aims to enhance the visibility of Omani products, boost their competitiveness in local markets, and provide a platform for entrepreneurs to build connections with private sector partners.
Dedicated sections within the exhibition include the Entrepreneurs Corner, Innovation Corner, Handicrafts and Crafts Workshops Corner, and the Little Pioneer Corner, which highlights children's creative talents and entrepreneurial spirit.
A key feature of the event is the ‘Sohar International Competition,’ which will reward innovation and quality among participants, reinforce brand identity and motivate entrepreneurs to pursue excellence.
The exhibition serves as a vital platform for encouraging entrepreneurship, stimulating innovation, and supporting the growth of Oman’s private sector across its governorates. – ONA
