Oman calls for peace and security in Yemen

Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman voiced deep concern over the recent military escalation in the sisterly Republic of Yemen and its resulting humanitarian repercussions and civilian casualties. It expressed its regret over the ongoing military operations which worsens the suffering of the Yemeni people and increases instability in the region.


In a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry on Sunday, the Sultanate of Oman reiterated its firm stance calling for peaceful solutions through dialogue and negotiation warning of the repercussions of military action on the security and stability in the region.


The Sultanate of Oman called for addressing the root causes of the crises through sustainable political solutions that ensure peace, stability, and development for the peoples of the region. It urged all parties to assume their responsibilities in maintaining peace and avoiding further escalation.
