The Philippine Nurses Association of Oman, Inc (PNAO), a duly recognised Foreign-Based Chapter of the Philippine Nurses Association, Inc. (PNA), will celebrate its official launch and meet-and-greet on August 2 at the Centara Hotel Muscat.

The event will feature Ambassador Raul S Hernandez as the Guest of Honour, delivering an inspirational message, along with representatives from OWWA, MWO and presidents and chairpersons of various organisations such as the Oman Nursing Association, Oman Cancer Association, Filipino Community Social Club, Filipino Medical and Health Alliances in Oman and their generous partners, among many others. The event will honour Filipino nurses as modern-day heroes, in line with the celebration of Philippine National Heroes Day.

The programme will also include meaningful exchanges to strengthen partnerships and foster collaboration. This gathering serves as a platform for camaraderie and inspiration, setting the tone for a unified and empowered Filipino nursing community in the Sultanate of Oman.

"The PNAO has been actively operating since January 2025. We have 60 members and have conducted 17 successful activities promoting professional development, health advocacy and community engagement among the Filipino community in Oman", said Ferdinand Marco B Larena, PhDc, MAN, RN, BSN, the founding president of PNAO.

"We, at PNAO, remain committed to uplifting the welfare, professional growth and solidarity of Filipino nurses in Oman, driven by a shared vision of excellence, compassion and national pride in coordination with the authorities of the Sultanate of Oman", he added.
