Team Shito-Ryu Oman claim 13 medals in Singapore

MUSCAT: Team Shito-Ryu Oman Karate Do Kai have made it big in Shito-Ryu International Karate World Championship 2025 in Singapore by bagging 13 medals.


The greatest result in history for an Omani team in the world championship, saw Team Shito-Ryu Oman claiming four gold, six silver and three bronze medals with a remarkable performance.


"This is truly a historic achievement for Oman in the world of martial arts. Our students delivered outstanding performances, displaying skill, spirit and determination at every step. You made Oman proud!," team coach Shihan Bava Ahamed said.


The team is managed by Sherly C Mathew and captained by Renshi Haleen Sree Hruday.


The team will wind up its participation in the world championships and return to Muscat on August 2.
