The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) has welcomed the announcement by Keir Starmer, British Prime Minister, of his country's intention to recognize the State of Palestine during the upcoming United Nations General Assembly.

The Sultanate of Oman renewed its call to the rest of the countries of the international community that have not yet recognized the State of Palestine to take similar steps to guarantee the legitimate right of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, in preparation for a two-state solution and sustainable peace in the region.
