

MUSCAT: The fourth round of the 2025 U18 Hockey League continues this evening, Saturday, with two anticipated matches. The Sohar Sports Complex will host the clash between Al Salam and Al Nahda, while the Seeb Club hockey field will witness the face-off between Seeb and Saham. Teams are vying to continue their journey in the league and improve their standings in the table.
Round three produced a total of nine goals. Al Nahda and Al Salam played to an exciting 1-1 draw. Seeb secured a dominant 5-0 victory over Saham, while Al Ittihad defeated Salalah 2-0.
Al Nahda and Al Salam settle for a draw
Al Nahda and Al Salam drew 1-1 at Sohar Sports Complex in a thrilling and closely contested match. Al Salam struck early in the 3rd minute through Humam bin Nuwaf al Raisi, capitalising on defensive confusion from Al Nahda. The latter regrouped and launched several attacks, but Al Salam’s goalkeeper stood firm. In the second quarter, Al Nahda increased their attacking pressure and came close to equalising multiple times, while Al Salam aimed to extend their lead but failed. The half ended with Al Salam ahead 1-0.
The third quarter was tactically balanced, with both teams sharing possession but failing to threaten the goals effectively.
In the final quarter, Al Nahda finally broke Al Salam’s defence, with Yaseen al Alawi scoring the equaliser in the 49th minute. The remaining minutes were filled with tense attempts by both sides to snatch the winner, but the match ended in a 1-1 draw.
Seeb thrash Saham 5-0
At Sohar Sports Complex, Seeb delivered one of their strongest performances, routing Saham 5-0. The first half was relatively balanced, with both teams exchanging chances but no real threat on goal, ending the half 0-0.
The game turned in the third quarter as Seeb took total control. Hassan Darwish al Balushi opened the scoring in the 33rd minute. Just a minute later, Abdulkarim bin Mohammed al Balushi made it 2-0, followed by a third goal from Mohammed al Shibli in the same minute, exploiting Saham’s defensive collapse.
Seeb continued their dominance, with Hassan Darwish al Balushi netting his second and the team’s fourth goal in the 40th minute, closing the quarter at 4-0.
Saham tried to mount a comeback in the final quarter, but Seeb held firm. Asim bin Jasim al Balushi scored the fifth and final goal in the 49th minute, sealing a comprehensive victory and earning Seeb three valuable points.
Al Ittihad Secure valuable win over Salalah
Al Ittihad claimed a valuable 2-0 win over Salalah at the the Sultan Qaboos Youth Complex for Culture and Entertainment in Salalah in Salalah.
