MUSCAT: The excitement of the 2025 Under-18 Junior Hockey League continued with the start of the second round matches across all groups, featuring strong confrontations, impressive performances, and notable victories by the participating teams.
GROUP 1 RESULTS (Muscat Governorate): The matches for Group 1 were held at the Oman Club Hockey Field in Al Amerat. Seeb defeated Qurayat 4-1, while Ahli Sidab earned a well-deserved 3-0 win over Al Amerat. Ahli Sidab continued its winning streak with a close 3-2 victory over Qurayat, and Seeb wrapped up its matches with a valuable 3-0 win against Al Amerat.
GROUP 2 RESULTS (Al Batinah, Al Sharqiyah and Al Wusta governorates): Group 2 matches, held at the Sohar Sports Complex, witnessed wide-margin victories. Al Nahda "A" defeated Al Nahda "B" 3-1, while Sohar achieved a major 8-0 victory over Saham. Masirah shined with a sweeping 15-1 win over Al Nahda "B", and Al Nahda "A" secured a strong 7-1 win against Al Salam. Masirah concluded the day with a massive 16-0 win over Saham.
GROUP 3 RESULTS (Dhofar Governorate): Group 3 matches were played at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Salalah and witnessed thrilling encounters. Salalah "A" recorded a big 9-4 win over Salalah "B". Dhofar defeated Mirbat 5-2, while Al Nasr overcame Al Ittihad with an 8-1 victory. Salalah "A" returned to thrash Mirbat 16-0, and Al Nasr secured an important 10-2 win over Dhofar.
EXCITING RESULTS IN THE 2ND ROUND
The 2025 Under-15 Cubs Hockey League continued showcasing strong performances and fierce competition among participating clubs. Matches for Groups 1(A) and 1(B) were held at Al Amerat Club Field, while Group 2 matches were played at the Sohar Hockey Field.
Group 1 (A): In Group 1(A), Al Amerat started their campaign with a deserved 5-1 win over Muscat "B". Ahli Sidab edged Qurayat "A" 6-4 in a tightly contested match filled with exchanged attacks. Nizwa "B" achieved a narrow 3-2 victory over Muscat "B". Al Amerat continued their winning streak with an important 2-0 victory over Qurayat "A", and Ahli Sidab completed their strong performance with another 5-2 win over Nizwa "B".
Group 1 (B): Group 1(B) witnessed strong competition. Seeb achieved a crucial 1-0 win over Nizwa "A", benefiting from tactical discipline. Qurayat "B" recorded a wide 4-0 victory against Oman Club. In an exciting match, Muscat "A" defeated Nizwa "A" 3-2. Seeb delivered a powerful offensive display against Oman Club with a 7-3 win, and Qurayat "B" concluded the round with a valuable 2-1 win over Muscat "A".
Group 2: In Group 2 (clubs from Al Batinah and Al Buraimi governorates), top teams displayed clear dominance. Al Nahda "A" crushed Al Nahda "B" with a 10-0 victory. In a balanced match, Soham defeated Sohar 2-0. Masirah continued to achieve positive results with a 5-1 win over Al Nahda "B". Al Nahda "A" secured another 3-1 victory over Al Salam, and Masirah concluded the group matches with an important 4-1 win over Saham.
