MUSCAT: The Embassy of Nepal in Muscat organised a special Literature and Labour Awareness Programme in collaboration with the International Nepali Literature Society, Oman. The event took place at Nepal House and aims to raise awareness on labour-related issues through literary expression, while celebrating and promoting the richness of Nepali language, literature and culture in honour of Adikabi Bhanu Bhakta Acharya, Nepal’s first poet.

The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the traditional lamp by Dornath Aryal, Ambassador of Nepal to the Sultanate of Oman. In his welcome address, Ambassador Aryal paid tribute to Bhanu Bhakta, highlighting his immense contributions to Nepali literature. He also underlined several important topics related to labour awareness, including the importance of preparing essential documents and promoting safe practices for foreign employment. The Ambassador expressed gratitude to all participants for their creative and inspiring literary presentations.
