Muscat: Muscat Governorate reviewed the performance indicators for the year 2024 and the goals and directions set for this year at a meeting attended by the walis and a number of governorate officials, on Monday.


The meeting discussed the evaluation of the governorate’s overall performance, highlighting the indicators that have seen improvement and identifying areas that require development based on digital data which helps in setting more accurate and effective goals for the next stage.


The meeting also discussed the extent of institutional commitment and the level of beneficiaries’ satisfaction over the governorate’s services and projects. It also discussed the indicators of digital transformation and communication and interaction mechanisms to measure the impact of development projects and the extent to which policies and programmes are compatible with citizens’ needs.


They reviewed the mechanisms of performance evaluation for 2025 including amending the evaluation methodology and indicator weights compared to previous years. The attendees identified the main priorities for this year emphasizing a clear distribution of roles and responsibilities between the departments of Muscat Governorate.


The meeting comes as part of Muscat Governorate’s efforts to enhance transparency, ensure optimal use of public resources and establish effective communication with citizens.
