Muscat: The Embassy of India in Muscat has announced that, effective July 1, 2025, its Consular, Passport, and Visa services will be handled by a new service provider, SGIVS Global Services LLC.

Initially, all consular services will continue to be offered from the Embassy premises located on Jami’at Al-Dowal Al-Arabiya Street in the Diplomatic Area of Al Khuwair. However, in a move aimed at enhancing accessibility and improving service delivery, SGIVS Global Services LLC will establish 11 new dedicated application centres across the Sultanate.

The upcoming centres are planned for the following locations: Muscat, Salalah, Sohar, Ibri, Sur, Nizwa, Duqm, Ibra, Khasab, Buraimi, and Barka. Full operations at these centres are expected to commence by August 15, 2025.

The Embassy has cautioned applicants to anticipate potential disruptions during this transitional period and urged all individuals seeking services to plan accordingly. For updates and further information, applicants are advised to consult the Embassy’s official website and its social media platforms.

The Embassy expressed appreciation for the public’s understanding and cooperation as it works to implement the new system smoothly.
