Muscat: The Oman Hajj Mission has called on Omani pilgrims to remain in their designated tents on the Day of Arafat from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm, in accordance with directives issued by the authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

In an online statement, the mission said that pilgrims should avoid going out to Jabal al Rahmah or Namirah Mosque.

This move aims at ensuring the pilgrims' safety from intense sunlight and high temperatures.

The directive seeks to prevent cases of heat exhaustion or heatstroke.

The mission confirmed that the Arafat sermon will be broadcast live inside the Omani camp, allowing pilgrims to follow the proceedings from within the safety and comfort of their tents.

The statement came as part of efforts by both Omani and Saudi authorities to safeguard the health and well-being of pilgrims during the peak days of Hajj.
