President of Iran begins official visit to Oman

Muscat: Dr Masoud Pezeshkian, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, arrived in the Sultanate of Oman on Tuesday for a two-day official visit, aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.


Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs led the welcoming ceremony at the Royal Airport, where he received the Iranian President and his accompanying delegation. His Highness extended a warm welcome to the guest, wishing him and his delegation a pleasant and successful visit.


During the visit, discussions will focus on a number of areas of mutual interest that serve the strategic and developmental priorities of both friendly countries. The talks are expected to reinforce cooperation across key sectors and reflect the shared commitment to fulfilling the aspirations of their peoples.


The visit will also address a range of regional and international developments, with both sides expected to exchange views on issues of common concern. The engagements underscore the depth of Oman-Iran relations and the continued dialogue aimed at promoting peace, stability, and progress in the region.
