Omani, Iranian foreign ministers discuss Iran-US talks

TEHRAN: Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidy, Foreign Minister, met with Dr Abbas Araghchi, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in Tehran, on Sunday.


They discussed topics related to the Iran-US talks aimed at reaching an agreement that meets the interests and concerns of both parties in a fair, practical and binding manner and serves regional security and stability.


A joint meeting was also held between Sayyid Badr, Dr Abbas Araghchi, and Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the sisterly State of Qatar.


The meeting discussed the developments of the US-Iran talks. Sayyid Badr and his Iranian counterpart welcomed the Qatari initiative to hold this meeting to consult on ways to support dialogue and bring viewpoints closer together with the aim of reaching understandings that would lead to the desired agreement between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran thus contributing to consolidating the foundations of regional and international security and stability.
