Muscat: Abraj Energy Services SAOG has secured a new drilling contract from ARA Petroleum LLC for operations in Block 44, valued at approximately RO 1.6 million.

The contract covers the provision of a drilling rig and associated services for a limited number of wells.

Operations are expected to commence in the second quarter of 2025, according to a company announcement on Monday.

The awarded rig had previously been deployed by another operator within the Sultanate, highlighting its continued operational relevance and demand in Oman’s upstream sector.

The agreement strengthens Abraj’s portfolio of domestic contracts and supports broader efforts to enhance local oilfield service capabilities in alignment with Oman Vision 2040.
