His Majesty concludes Algeria visit

ALGIERS: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik left Algiers on Monday evening after a two-day state visit to the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria.


President Abdelmadjid Tebboune of Algeria led the farewell party for His Majesty the Sultan at Houari Boumediene International Airport.


Upon the arrival to the yard of the airport, His Majesty the Sultan and the Algerian President ascended the dais as the Royal anthem of of Oman and the national anthem of Algeria were played.



Then, His Majesty shook hands with members of the farewell party from the Algerian side and personnel of the Omani Embassy in Algeria.


On his turn, the Algerian President shook hands with members of the Omani official delegation.


Upon his departure, His Majesty the Sultan sent a cable of thanks to the Algerian President.


In the cable, His Majesty expressed his sincere appreciation for the warm welcome and hospitality.


His Majesty lauded the outcomes of his meeting with the Algerian President, as it was an opportunity to enhance areas of cooperation and promote the distinguished relations in various spheres in a manner that serves the interests of the two peoples.


His Majesty the Sultan wished President Tebboune success, and the Algerian people further progress and prosperity.
