Saudi delegation visits NDC

MUSCAT: Maj Gen Hamid bin Ahmed Sakroon, Chairman of the Academy for Strategic and Defence Studies, received in his office at Bait Al Falaj on Sunday a delegation from the Naif Arab University for Security Sciences of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). The visiting delegation is headed by Dr Abdulmajeed Abdullah Albanyan, President of the University.


During the meeting, the two sides discussed several matters of mutual interest, notably in academic fields. Within the framework of the visit, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the two sides pertaining to academic and scientific aspects.


The MoU was signed by Maj Gen Hamid bin Ahmed Sakroon, Chairman of the Academy for Strategic and Defence Studies, and Dr Abdulmajeed Abdullah Albanyan, President of Naif Arab University for Security Sciences. The meeting and the signing ceremony were attended by several senior officers of the Academy for Strategic and Defence Studies.


The Saudi delegation has also visited the National Defence College (NDC). Upon their arrival at the NDC, they were greeted by Rear Admiral Ali bin Abdullah al Shidi, Commandant of the National Defence College. The guests were briefed about the college and its strategic curricula. They also toured the NDC’s departments and various facilities.


Meanwhile, the delegation of the Naif Arab University for Security Sciences also visited the Joint Command and Staff College. Upon arrival to the college, the guests were received by Brigadier Saif bin Hamad al Yousefi, Commandant of the Joint Command and Staff College. The guests watched a presentation about the college, its curricula and educational and training programmes. They also toured the college’s facilities and departments. — ONA
