MUSCAT: Dr Marwan bin Jumaa al Jumaa, OOC Board Member, and Sayyidah Sana bint Hamad al Busaidiyah, Chairperson of Oman Women and Gender Equality in Sport Committee, took part in the Gender Equality Seminar and workshops organised by the Olympic Council of Asia in cooperation with International Olympic Committee and the National Olympic Committee of Brunei Darussalam. The event was held from April 14 to 15 in Brunei Darussalam.

The seminar brought together 100 sports figures from 43 Asian National Olympic Committees, in addition to 19 speakers. It featured a series of presentations delivered by specialised experts aimed at providing essential knowledge and strategic insights. The programme also included interactive discussions with leaders and partners in the field of gender equality to exchange perspectives and diverse experiences.

On the sidelines of the seminar, three workshops were held to promote collaboration among participants. These sessions were designed to help attendees identify challenges, explore innovative solutions, and develop practical strategies to enhance gender equality within their respective National Olympic Committees.
