Oman, Brunei Darussalam celebrate 40 years of diplomatic relations

Muscat: A reception was held in Muscat today to mark the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Sultanate of Oman and Brunei Darussalam, in the presence of Princess Hajah Masna, Ambassador-at-Large at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brunei Darussalam.



The event, which was held at Al Bustan Palace Hotel, was also attended by Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, Dr Abdullah bin Nasser al Harrasi, Minister of Information, officials, ambassadors of ASEAN countries, and officials from the Bruneian side.


In her speech, Noralizan Abdul Momin, Ambassador of Brunei Darussalam to the Sultanate of Oman, highlighted the depth of relations between the two countries in various common fields.



She stressed the joint desire of the two countries to develop these relations in various fields, especially in the fields of education, culture, investment, energy, and many others. The ceremony witnessed the launch of a commemorative logo symbolizing the depth and strength of diplomatic relations between the Sultanate of Oman and Brunei Darussalam. The logo was inspired by the flags of the two countries and the number 40, indicating the 40th anniversary of the diplomatic relations.
