Muscat: An official reception ceremony was held at the Royal Palace in Amsterdam for His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on the occasion of his three-day state visit to the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
Upon His Majesty's arrival at the Royal Palace, he was received by King Willem Alexander of the Netherlands, and his spouse Queen Maxima.
After that, the King escorted His Majesty to the dais of honour, where the Omani Royal Anthem and the Dutch national Anthem were played.
Then, the King and His Majesty headed to the Interior of the Palace.
After that, the two leaders headed to the main hall, where His Majesty the Sultan shook hands with members of the welcoming party. Then, the King and the Queen shook hands with the official Omani delegation.
After that, His Majesty the Sultan shook hands with Dick Schoof, Prime Minister of the Netherlands and some officials in the Netherlands.
Then, the two monarchs held a cordial meeting in the presence of the Omani and the Netherlands sides. The meeting reviewed the relations of cooperation and partnership, and means of promoting them to serve the two countries.
