Muscat: Muscat Municipality has plans to build public parks in various parts of the city, including Muttrah, Mabela, and Quriyat.
The proposed public park project in Muttrah - Wadi Al Kabir will include an integrated recreational space, a public square, a viewing platform equipped with a slide, a zip line, a children's play area, and an outdoor fitness area.
It will include shaded structures with seating areas, crossing bridges, and an aesthetic element represented by a dry wadi stream, an open theater, a multi-use playground, shaded seating areas, walking paths, and an open grassy area with diverse landscaping, including trees. Besides, parking spaces, a service building with restrooms, and space for commercial kiosks will be included.
Another park has been planned for Mabela in the Wilayat of Seeb, covering an area of 10,091 square meters.
The park's design aims to create an integrated public space that includes a main plaza, a children's play area, outdoor board game areas, an open theater, a sports field, seating areas with shade structures, walking paths, open grassy spaces, diverse landscaping with trees, parking spaces, an outdoor library, a café, and a service building containing restrooms.
The scope of work includes the provision of all engineering, architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and landscaping services (hard and soft landscaping), ensuring the successful implementation of the project according to the highest required standards.
The Public Park project in Quriyat - Mihya Area will include an integrated recreational space comprising a public square, a viewing platform with a slide, a zip line, a children's play area, and an outdoor fitness area.
Apart from shaded seating areas, bridges, a dry wadi stream, an open theater, a multi-use playground, walking paths, diverse landscaping including trees, there will be spaces for commercial kiosks.
