

Muscat: The Dutch Foreign Minister, Caspar Veldkamp, has expressed his relief at the release of one of his Yemeni colleagues working at the Dutch Embassy in Yemen, after being arbitrarily detained for ten months in Sana'a, he said in a post on X.
"I am relieved that a Yemeni colleague of our Embassy in Yemen was released after 10 months of arbitrary detention in Sana’a. Since then, we have worked on his unconditional release through silent diplomacy. We are deeply grateful to Oman for its vital role in his release. He is doing well, considering the circumstances. In Muscat, he was welcomed by Omani officials and our Ambassadors to Yemen and Oman. We are now focusing on his well-being and recovery," he said.
