MUSCAT: The Ministry of Energy and Minerals, in collaboration with the Dutch Education Organization, has launched a two-phase technical workshop aimed at training Omani professionals in the hydrogen sector. The first phase of the workshop kicked off today at the Ministry’s headquarters in Muscat and will run for two days, from April 8 to 9, 2025.

The second phase will include field visits to industrial facilities in the Netherlands, where participants will receive a firsthand look at technological advancements and best practices in hydrogen production, storage, and transport.

This initiative is designed to equip Omani professionals with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the growing hydrogen industry. The program emphasizes practical, hands-on learning based on cutting-edge scientific principles. Both Omani and Dutch participants bring substantial expertise in knowledge transfer, ensuring a valuable exchange for all involved.

Attendees will gain insights into hydrogen production processes and the industries that rely on it, while also learning about the latest developments at the Port of Rotterdam, a leader in green hydrogen transport and storage. The workshop also aims to foster networking opportunities with local and international partners, such as Rotterdam Municipality, industrial organizations, and port companies, providing participants with career prospects and enhancing international collaboration in this key sector.
