Oman’s participation in Expo 2025 Osaka represents a significant opportunity for Oman to showcase its rich cultural heritage, economic potential, and commitment to international cooperation. The Omani pavilion is themed ‘Enduring Ties’, focusing on three core elements: people, land, and water. This theme reflects Oman’s historical connections with various regions and emphasises the importance of these elements in shaping Omani culture and society.

Oman’s participation aligns with its long-term development strategy outlined in Oman Vision 2040. The pavilion will highlight six key themes: communication and interaction, tourism, investment opportunities, cultural identity, international relations, and partnership. These themes are crucial for fostering economic growth and enhancing Oman’s global presence.

The expo provides an ideal platform for cultural exchange. The Omani pavilion will host events that aim to educate visitors about Oman’s history, traditions, and contemporary achievements.

The expo serves as a vital opportunity for Oman to promote its investment potential. With Japan being a significant trading partner, Oman aims to attract Japanese investors by highlighting its strategic location as a gateway to various international markets. The participation of a good number of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) from Oman at the expo further emphasises the country’s vibrant economic landscape.

The digital platform accompanying the Oman’s pavilion at the expo is an extension of the pavilion, where visitors will be able to interact with a wide range of new content from various participating entities using extended reality and artificial intelligence technologies.

The platform includes 10 sections: the Visual Exhibition, the Virtual Theatre, the Audio Arts Exhibition, Made in Oman, Discover Oman, the Omani Technology Companies Centre, the Virtual Innovation Centre, the Small and Medium Enterprises Exhibition, the Virtual Education Opportunities Exhibition, and the Humanitarian Diplomacy Portal.

Oman lays emphasis on sustainable development goals, and through the expo, it seeks to encourage countries of the world to contribute towards the realisation of these goals. Oman’s pavilion at the expo stands apart due to its unique architectural design that echoes Oman’s environment and its ancient history. In addition, the pavilion showcases Oman’s future aspirations and highlights the attention that it accords to its heritage and its civilisation.

Oman’s involvement in Expo 2025 Osaka is not merely about showcasing its heritage; it is a strategic move towards enhancing international relations, promoting economic growth, and fostering cultural dialogue. By presenting itself as a nation committed to peace, innovation, and sustainable development, Oman seeks to strengthen its ties with Japan and other nations while sharing its vision for a better future.

It is believed that engaging with major economies at the expo will open new avenues for the Omani private sector to expand investments, establish international partnerships and explore the latest innovations in various industries.

The event will be an opportunity for entrepreneurs to expand into international markets, explore new avenues for growth and innovation to enhance Oman’s economic competitiveness by attracting investments and fostering trade and industrial cooperation.

Also, Oman’s participation represents an ideal opportunity to achieve many strategic gains ranging from interaction with various countries around the world to enhancing cultural exchange and promoting the Sultanate of Oman’s most important commercial and investment potentials, in line with Oman Vision 2040.

The event serves as a global platform for showcasing the inspiring innovations and experiences of government and private institutions in a manner that contributes to strengthening the Sultanate of Oman’s position as a gateway to various international markets.
