Muscat: The Ministry of Health has urged all individuals to proactively donate blood and its components on a priority basis.
The Central Blood Bank in Bausher will require a significant increase in the number of blood donors in preparation for the upcoming Eid al Fitr holiday, during which there is typically a notable decrease in both blood and blood component donations.
Ramadan Blood donation hours at the Central Blood Bank Bausher are 7.30 pm to 11.30 pm, 8 am to 12.30 pm and the last moment for platelet donations is 10:30 pm.
The Department of Blood Bank Services (DBBS) has issued an urgent appeal for blood and platelet donations during Ramadan, emphasizing the critical need to support patients across the sultanate.
‘Central Blood Bank in Bausher urges you to donate blood and platelets during Ramadan. Our goal is to provide more than 2,900 blood units and 270 platelet units to meet the urgent needs of patients. Join us in saving lives and offering hope to those in need,’ DBBS stated.
