

Muscat: The Unified Government Services Portal (gov.om), launched by the Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology, is aimed at delivering government services to both citizens and residents.
The portal simplifies access to information and services, streamlines procedures between government entities, and eliminates the need to navigate multiple portals and platforms and offers essential government services in one place, which include a personalized dashboard for tracking service, requests and transactions, and Step-by-step guidance for service requirements and procedures.
So far, 91 fully digital services are provided by 10 government entities from 23 services launched in the first phase. The second phase will include 63 services to be launched between March and June.
Here are some of the services that will benefit expatriates of Oman.

The e-services are concerned with combating corruption, ensuring the protection of citizens and their rights, and the fair application of the law.

This category includes the services concerned with starting and practicing a new business activity, including services concerned with completing and closing businesses and getting permits for events.
Visa for Oman
This category includes the services concerned with facilitating entry into the Sultanate of Oman for various purposes, such as tourism, work, and investment.
Digital Transformation Support
Get a medical fitness certificate to get a resident card, a medical fitness examination to renew the resident card, and cancel the SIM Card electronic authentication certificate.
Taxation
This category includes tax services concerned with the procedures necessary for assessing, estimating, and collecting taxes that include tax residency certificate for individuals,
income tax returns or refund of Value-Added Tax for a foreign individual not residing in the Sultanate of Oman or any GCC countries.

This category includes the services concerned with lease contracts for individuals and companies, including residential and commercial use:
