No new licenses for retail fish, seafood stores

Muscat: The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources (MAFWR) has issued decision 41/2025 to stop issuing applications for licenses for retail or specialized stores to sell fish, Seafood, and other products.


Article 1 states that it has been decided to temporarily suspend receiving license applications to practice retail sales in stores specializing in fish and other seafood and its products for one year.


The decision will be effective from the day following the date of its publication.
