TASHKENT: Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, held a meeting on Tuesday with Bakhtiyor Saidov, Foreign Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The meeting took place within the context of Sayyid Badr’s official visit to Uzbekistan.


During the meeting, the two ministers discussed aspects of bilateral cooperation and the means of promoting them in various fields. They expressed their aspiration to boost cooperation in the economic, trade, and investment sectors, in addition to the fields of education, culture, tourism, and renewable energy.


The two sides also discussed opportunities for cooperation in infrastructure and logistics, in a way that enhances the economic partnership and achieves common interests. They also touched on a set of regional and international issues of common interest, pointing to the importance of enhancing consultation and coordination to back stability and security and achieve sustainable development for all.


The meeting was attended by Sayyida Wafa Jabr Al Busaidi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Republic of Uzbekistan and several officials from both sides. - ONA
