

KHASAB: The third edition of the Traditional Weapons Shooting Championship concluded in Musandam Governorate, under the auspices of Sayyid Ibrahim bin Said al Busaidy, Governor of Musandam. The event witnessed remarkable participation from skilled marksmen, reaffirming the significance of traditional shooting as a deeply rooted part of Omani heritage.
The championship saw fierce competition, with Idris bin Mohammed al Saadi securing first place, Said bin Zaid al Dhahouri claiming second, and Rashid bin Khadem al Shehhi finishing in third. The participants demonstrated exceptional precision and skill, further strengthening the sport’s role in engaging young Omanis and preserving the country’s cultural identity.
A key highlight of the event was the recognition of Hamza bin Abdullah al Shehhi as the youngest competitor in the championship, underscoring the sport’s ability to inspire new generations. The Governor honoured the winners of the top positions, commending their dedication and outstanding performance.
