

MUSCAT: The Fajr Initiative Award Ceremony celebrated the dedication of 57 young participants who successfully completed a 30-day Fajr prayer challenge. Held at Al Noor Mosque, Darsait, the event witnessed a turnout of over 130 attendees, including parents, community leaders and distinguished guests. Among them were Shaikh Salim al Ghammari, CEO of Muttrah Zakat Committee, and Shaikh Ibrahim al Wahaibi who presented awards to the young achievers, recognising their perseverance and commitment to faith.
The evening commenced with a recitation of the Holy Quran, setting a spiritual tone for the ceremony. The event underscored the vital role of parental and community support, with over 60 parents actively engaging in the initiative. The Fajr Initiative volunteer team expressed gratitude to all those who contributed to the programme’s success, encouraging its replication across Oman’s mosques to strengthen Islamic values among the youth.
A key highlight was the presentation of the initiative’s project report, which detailed its impact and future goals. Organisers emphasised that this was just the beginning, outlining ambitious plans to support knowledge-seekers and expand faith-based community initiatives. The young generation was urged to stay focused, embody good manners, and recognise that true success lies in both moral and spiritual excellence.
The event concluded with a prayer for global peace, unity and continued progress in fostering knowledge-driven initiatives. The overwhelming success of the Fajr Initiative serves as an inspiring model for communities to come together in nurturing a generation rooted in faith, discipline and strong moral character.
