

Muscat - Omani Teachers' Day is celebrated on February 24 every year in appreciation and gratitude for the great efforts made by teachers and their effective role in raising generations of this nation and instilling virtuous values in them.
However, the Ministry of Education (MOE) announced that Sunday, February 23, will be a holiday for all public and private schools across the Sultanate in celebration of Omani Teacher’s Day.




The great interest of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik in teachers was evident through the provision of various facilities to keep pace with the development of modern teaching tools and methods based on technology, techniques, and artificial intelligence.
This was emphasized by His Majesty the Sultan during his visit to Sultan Faisal bin Turki School for Boys in the Wilayat of Al Amerat in the Governorate of Muscat during his meeting with a group of educators and students to provide the schools that were built during the past three or four years with the latest capabilities and technologies and employ them in education.
His Majesty the Sultan’s dedication of a day to teachers is an appreciation and recognition of the great role they play in society. It is an expression of respect and appreciation for their efforts and dedication to serving the nation and future generations.
It also reflects the wise leadership’s interest in developing education and supporting teachers, believing in the importance of their role in building a bright future for the country. In addition, this day is an incentive for teachers to exert more effort give more, and continue their journey in serving the nation.
