Muscat: The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has approved the operation of tourist flights by Belarusian airline Belavia from February 27.

The airline will operate between Salalah and Minsk airports.

According to the Republican Union of Tourist Organisations (RUTO) in Belarus, the flight time will be around seven hours.

“Salalah is popular for European tourists and receives charter flights carrying tourists from Germany, Italy, Slovakia, Poland, the Czech Republic, and Romania between October and May. The monsoon or Khareef season that starts in June transforms the Salalah into a magnificent garden with waterfalls and springs surrounded by lush greenery," RUTO said.
