

MUSCAT: Oman and Nepal have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen tourism cooperation, focusing on investment, infrastructure, and expertise exchange.
The agreement was signed in Muscat by Oman’s Minister of Heritage and Tourism, Salim bin Mohammed al Mahrouqi, and Nepal’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr Arzu Rana Deuba.
Under the MoU, both countries will collaborate on tourism investments, hotel development, and facility enhancements. It also encourages direct engagement between travel agencies, participation in international tourism exhibitions, and knowledge exchange in hotel management.
Additionally, the agreement promotes cooperation within international tourism organizations, facilitates vocational training programs, and enables the exchange of tourism statistics, promotional materials, and technical expertise.
The initiative is expected to boost mutual tourism and enhance bilateral ties in line with the regulations of both nations. — ONA
