Muscat: The annual art exhibition at ISG International School dazzled visitors with a breathtaking display of creativity and imagination. The event, held within the school, was a resounding success, with vibrant artworks adorning the walls and captivating art enthusiasts.
In the presence of the Principal, Vice Principal, staff, and students, the exhibition was officially inaugurated by Dr Saud Nasser Al Hunaini, Vice Chairman of the Oman Culture Club — a celebrated contemporary artist whose contribution to Omani art is widely recognized. His presence added prestige to the occasion.
The event’s showstopper was a monumental collage painting titled ‘Glorious Oman,’ a testament to unity and artistic collaboration. Spearheaded by the Fine Arts Department of ISG International, the artwork was a joint effort of over 350 students, 70 teachers, and 20 ancillary staff. Spanning 30 meters in length and 2 meters in width, this awe-inspiring masterpiece was composed of 392 A4-sized sheets mounted on foam boards.
This artistic marvel pays homage to Oman’s rich heritage, featuring iconic landmarks such as: The Grand Mosque, Muscat Gate & Al Bustan Palace, The Royal Opera House Muscat, Ruwi Clock Tower and The Giant Incense Burner and Nizwa’s Khanjar Roundabout and The Arches Fountain.
Dr Hunaini, unveiling the artwork, remarked, "This collage is more than just a painting — it is a masterpiece that deserves a wider audience beyond the school. It should be showcased to the public as a true magnum opus."
Alongside ‘Glorious Oman,’ the exhibition also featured an array of student artworks, including paintings, sculptures, and photography — many crafted using sustainable materials, reinforcing the event’s eco-friendly ethos. More than just an art showcase, the exhibition celebrated creativity, teamwork, and the vibrant cultural spirit of Oman, proving that when artistic minds unite, they create something truly extraordinary.
