Muscat: The Ministry of Health (MoH) issued on Monday an urgent appeal for blood donations at the Central Blood Bank in Bausher due to a significant decline in donor participation, which has led to a substantial depletion of blood supplies.

In its statement, the ministry urged individuals to step forward and donate, as recent blood donation campaigns have seen a noticeable drop in donors, putting pressure on the availability of critical blood units.

The ministry has highlighted the importance of maintaining adequate reserves to meet medical emergencies and patient needs.

Meanwhile, the Blood Bank in Bausher operates from Saturday to Thursday between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm, while on Fridays, donations are accepted from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm.
