Omani employees entitled to annual increment

Muscat: The Ministry of Labor has said that Omani employees are eligible for the periodic bonus if their service period with the employer is not less than 6 months if the worker has not received a poor rating in the annual performance report


The worker has the right to review the annual performance and complain about it, under the complaints and grievances system.


|The Ministry of Labor has alerted private sector establishments to adhere to paying the special periodic allowance to Omanis working in the private sector since January 1, under the provisions of the Labor Law and the ministerial decisions implementing its provisions.


Omanis working in the private sector are eligible for an increment of three percent of the basic wage, due on 1 January of each year.
