Muscat: Oman is set to experience unstable weather condition, as an air trough of low-pressure system is likely to affect the Sultanate of Oman from Friday, February 7- 9, the Oman Meteorology Office announced on Thursday.

According to the latest weather charts and numerical models, the system is expected to bring scattered rainfall to various parts of the Sultanate, particularly Musandam Governorate, coastal areas of the Sea of Oman, and parts of al Hajar Mountains.

The Oman Met said there will be a drop in temperatures, increase in sea wave height, and active winds accompanying the weather condition.

Meanwhile, the Met Office continues to monitor the situation and advises the public to stay updated through official channels.
