Oman sees a surge in cases against children

Muscat: The number of crimes against children increased last year to 1,325, which included harassment, indecent assault, practicing any form of violence, and exposing the juvenile to delinquency.


To be specific, child abuse cases stood at 399 in 2024, which included harassment and indecent behaviors, followed by 366 cases of practicing any form of violence against children and 174 cases of exposing children to delinquency.
