Tour of Oman begins on February 7

Muscat - The 14th edition of Tour of Oman 2025 will kick off on Friday, organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth in cooperation with the Oman Cycling Federation.


The tour includes five stages that move between the terrain and natural landscapes of the Sultanate of Oman, with the participation of 18 international teams from Europe, Asia, America, and Australia. It will continue until February 12.


The tour will kick off with the Muscat Classic race, which will start from Al Mouj. The competitors will then pass through several tourist sites including the waterfront road of Seeb, mountain road of Amerat, Darsait, Wadi Al Kabir, Yiti, and Qantab.


The competitors will then turn left from the Al Bustan roundabout towards Sidab, and conclude in front of the State Council with a total distance of 171 km. This race is classified as a first-class one-day race in Asia, and the winner of this race will receive 125 points in the points world rankings.


The Tour of Oman includes 5 stages.


The first stage of 170km will start on Saturday from Muscat College in the Wilayat of Bausher and conclude in the Wilayat of Quriyat.


The second stage of 203 kilometers will start on Sunday, February 9 from Rustaq Fort in the South Al Batinah Governorate, and will continue to Yiti Heights in the Muscat Governorate, the end of the stage.


The third stage of 181 kilometers will be held on Monday, February 10, and will start from the Wilayat of Bidbid in the Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, and will conclude in the Wilayat of Al Hamra.


The fourth stage of 181 kilometers will start on Tuesday, February 11, from the Oman Across Ages Museum in the Wilayat of Manah in the Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, and will continue to the stage’s final point, the Oman Convention and Exhibition Center in the Muscat Governorate.


The fifth and final stage 139 kilometers long, will be held on Wednesday, February 12, and will start from the Imti area in the Wilayat of Izki in the Al Dakhiliyah Governorate. Until the end of the stage, the beginning of the Jabel al Akhdar Road in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate.
