Muscat: Oman's Met Office on Sunday said from today evening, strong northwesterly winds are forecasted to affect most governorates of Oman for several days. These winds are expected to cause:

  • A rise in sea waves along most of Oman's coasts, with wave heights reaching up to 2.0 meters.

  • Increased chances of dust and sandstorms in desert and exposed areas, potentially reducing horizontal visibility.

  • A drop in temperatures.
