At the forefront of this transformation is the highly anticipated Rahalla Festival, taking place from 9 January to 27 February 2025, in the North Al Sharqiyah Governorate. Hosted by the Omran Group, in partnership with Taiseer Platforms and with the support of the Office of the Governor of North Al Sharqiyah and the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, this festival has become a centrepiece of Oman’s winter celebration.

With a perfect blend of heritage, adventure, and entertainment, the Rahalla Festival beckons visitors to immerse themselves in what Oman can offer.
The festival is a vibrant affair, featuring a dynamic marketplace adorned with 20 traditional tents that showcase the craftsmanship of 28 skilled artisans. This Heritage Zone immerses attendees in Omani culture, featuring live demonstrations of traditional crafts, engaging games, and captivating performances that celebrate the region's rich history.

Designed with visitor engagement in mind, the festival boasts a bustling Plaza Area, serving as a central hub with diverse winter seating arrangements and an array of cosy cafés and restaurants, all contributing to a warm, inviting atmosphere.
One of the festival's standout attractions is the Meat Grilling Festival, a culinary experience that tantalises guests with traditional Omani flavours and an assortment of grilled delicacies.
For outdoor enthusiasts, the Camping Exhibition presents an interactive showcase of camping gear and accessories, making it a perfect stop for those drawn to the great outdoors. Families can also rejoice in the free camping area, equipped with safe shared facilities, fostering a deep appreciation for nature in a secure setting.

The Rahalla Festival is not only a feast for the senses but also a celebration of community spirit. Over 20 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), alongside more than 20 local families, have participated in the festival, contributing their products and skills to enhance this collaborative event. Remarkably, the festival has also created 74 temporary jobs, recognising 28 artisans with special rewards for their invaluable contributions.
With numbers that speak volumes, more than 10,000 visitors have flocked to the Rahalla Festival, reveling in its unique attractions. The impressive infrastructure, including the luxurious tents and festival setup, materialised in just two months and ten days, culminating in an unforgettable 29-day celebration filled with continuous activities and entertainment.
The festival stands as a testament to the synergetic efforts of 14 Omani SMEs, specialising in luxury tent production, furniture crafting, decorative installations, and supplies for both the boutique tents and carnival areas. This collaboration not only enriches the festival experience but also underscores the potential for economic growth and innovation within the local community.
