Even if you won't make it to the top, the journey speaks for itself, the hustle, the blood and sweat poured into it, the consistency, the discipline, the strategy and the determination to never give up, that is the true victory.

Recently demonstrated by Red Warriors, the Oman football team at the Gulf Football Cup has been a classic example of how to keep your head high when things will not turn out in your favour.

The nation witnessed the stellar performance and the splendid game played is in itself an eminent recognition and a true commendation. Despite, not winning, the nation applauded and appreciated the hard work, the spirit and the dedication of the entire team.

As they say, the discipline and drill pay off, if not sooner than later, but it certainly does.

So is life, you move heavens and earth to attain your goals and when you are too close to achieve, the goal seems to drift farther.

Disheartening at this moment is intrinsic to the mind, however, if we could reflect that the entire ride, coming this far, enduring pain and perseverance has already been a triumph towards your ambitions.

The achievements do validate the hustle but quintessential is comprehending the bigger picture. Success is not a linear curve. It consists of peaks and valleys, and realising that it perpetuates throughout life.

Even it will not halt at the highest peak, or near the envisioned peak, it's about thriving and relishing through those peaks and valleys like a champion.

Failure is the founding component of success along with the level of entropy that isn’t taken into account. Yet, both of them determine the pace and level of success. Before the game is played on the field or any performance that is being executed it has been already played or performed mentally by the player or the performer. Still, things could go wrong and eventually not in your stride.

Analyse, make amendments where needed, re-strategise and get back to hitting the road. Setbacks happen, defeats befall and glitches pop up, but if we realise they are temporary and not to stay forever, we are nurturing a conqueror in us that when falls is ready to get up and bounce back harder.

Surround yourself with people who are not just your success companions but your failure comforters and re-encouragers. Who believe in your aspirations and guide you back to your tracks when you seem to sway.

No one has ever escaped failure and to address it practically and rationally has only simplified and rectified things for the better. Losing up at the end of the game or in life’s major goals is not an easy task to settle your mind at ease.

It is a tough battle to calm down but when you learn to overcome it and sail through, not only does the path get fascinating and reignites your brain to garner a fresh approach and better tactics to grab the situation.

Let to say, it is never about glorifying failure but accepting it as the inevitable that happens to everyone at the crucial moments of life. It is epitomising to learn and develop a mindset and strength to garner through such moments and no wonder, this traverse will itself bask of its win!
