Muscat: Vice Admiral Abdullah bin Khamis bin Abdullah al Raisi, Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF), received in his office at Muaskar Al Murtafaa on Wednesday Admiral Enrico Credendino, Chief of the Italian Navy and his accompanying military delegation.
During the meeting, they discussed a range of military topics of common interest. The meeting was attended by Rear Admiral Saif bin Nasser al Rahbi, Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) and the Military Attaché at the Italian Embassy in Muscat.
Meanwhile, the Chief of the Italian Navy and his accompanying military delegation visited the Maritime Security Centre (MSC). The Italian delegation were accompanied during the visit by the Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman. They were greeted upon their arrival at the MSC by the Commodore Adil bin Hamoud al Busaidy, Head of the Maritime Security Centre (MSC). Members of the visiting delegation were briefed on the tactical roles and tasks carried out by the centre to ensure the safety of the Omani maritime environment. They also toured the centre’s facilities and viewed its latest equipment and technologies used in carrying out its national duties. — ONA
