MUSCAT: The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism on Sunday organised a workshop on ‘Medical and Wellness Tourism in the Sultanate of Oman’.
The opening ceremony was held under the auspices of Dr Hilal bin Ali al Sabti, Minister of Health.
The workshop aimed to develop a road map for launching a model of medical and wellness tourism and promoting it locally, regionally and globally.
The workshop outlined relevant sources, experiences and opportunities on how to encourage tourism and health establishments to showcase their best products and practices.
It explored ways to integrate medical and wellness tourism into streamlined services offered by those facilities.
