MUSCAT: Revenues of three-to-five-star hotels in Oman rose by 5% to reach RO 186.1 million by October 2024, compared to RO 177.2 million during the same period in 2023. The number of guests also grew by 5%, totalling 1.72 million, with occupancy rates increasing by 1.3%.


Statistics from the National Centre for Statistics and Information show a 5.7% rise in Omani guests, reaching 668,251. European visitors increased by 8.8% to 392,767, while guests from other Arab nations grew by 11.5%. Gulf visitors saw a slight decline of 0.8%, and Oceania guests dropped significantly by 31.2%.


These figures underline the continued growth of Oman’s tourism sector, driven by diverse markets and improved hospitality services, positioning the Sultanate of Oman as a preferred destination. — ONA
