The number of visitors to Nakhal Fort in Al Batinah South Governorate during the past 10 months of this year stood at 23,000, an increase of 25 per cent compared to the same period last year, with foreign tourists forming the largest percentage of visitors. Saif bin Sulaiman al Hadhrami, CEO of Nakhal National Investment Company, said that the increase in the number of visitors is due to the project to link the fort to Nakhal Souq, which in turn contributed to attracting more tourists and reviving the Omani heritage.
