Muscat - The Green Build Oman Conference, organized by the Petroleum Development of Oman (PDO), will begin on Sunday to promote environmentally friendly building practices at the Grand Millennium Hotel.

The two-day in Muscat will address four main topics related to policies, standards, and regulations, during which the light will be shed on building codes and their importance for green and sustainable buildings, plans from major government organizations for green buildings, and the classification system for these buildings.

It will focus on “Sustainable Urban Planning and Design”, to address the the challenges and opportunities in green cities, low-impact development technologies, improving energy efficiency, electric vehicle policies, and the role of buildings in charging infrastructure, in addition to smart city frameworks to increase resilience to disasters.
