Muscat: The latest weather indicators imply that there could be an impact on the weather in the Sultanate of Oman during the period 21st October to 24th October 2024. The areas of impact are expected to be Dhofar, Al Wusta, and Al Hajar Mountains.


The weather maps and numerical forecasts indicate chances of clouds gradually flowing and forming from Monday evening over parts of the Al Wusta and Dhofar governorates, which may lead to scattered rain.


Chances of clouds flowing and forming and scattered rain, sometimes accompanied by thunder, will continue from Tuesday until Thursday, in addition to the activity of cumulus clouds and scattered rain, sometimes accompanied by thunder, over Al Hajar Mountains.


Specialists at the National Center for Multi Hazards Early Warning Centre are following up on the weather conditions and their developments and calling on citizens and residents to follow up on the issued bulletins and reports.


On Monday and Tuesday the expectation is scattered rain, sometimes thundery with rainfall about 10-20 mm, forecast for Dhofar in the mountains and coasts, in addition to Central (coasts) and Hajar Mountains.


On Wednesday, the expected rainfall is 10–25 mm over Al Hajar Mountains.


And 10-30 mm over Dhofar’s mountains and coasts along with Central coasts scattered rain, sometimes thunders with amounts of 10-30 mm rainfall.
