Sur: As of 11:40 AM, the National Committee for Emergency Management (NCEM) has reported ongoing disruptions in essential services in the governorates of South and North Al Sharqiyah.


A total of 6 power outages have been reported across the region, with 5 of these outages addressed in Sur, Jalan Bani Bu Hassan, and Jalan Bani Bu Ali, while 1 outage is still being managed in the Wilayat of Dema and Al-Tayyin. Additionally, the internal road in the Wilayat of Jalan Bani Bu Ali (between Al-Juwabi and Al-Suwaiq) has been cut off due to the flow of Wadi Sal.


Meanwhile, Oman Meteorology reports that the tropical depression is approaching Al Wusta and Dhofar Governorates, with clouds now extending to southern parts of Muscat.


Rainfall has begun in Qurayyat, Al Amerat, and is spreading across other areas, with 33 mm of rainfall recorded in Sur and 26 mm in Jalan Bani Bu Ali since Monday. The tropical depression is expected to remain at its current intensity over the coming days.

  • Jalan Bani Bu Ali: 54 mm

  • Sur: 35 mm

  • Masirah: 22 mm

  • Qurayyat: 13 mm

  • Al Amerat: 11 mm

  • Al Kamil and Al Wafi: 9 mm

  • Dema and Al Tayyin: 9 mm
