

MUSCAT: The Sultanate of Oman and Hungary concluded the second session of the Omani-Hungarian Joint Economic and Technical Committee in Muscat. The session, co-chaired by Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Harthy, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, and Dr Tamas Varga, Deputy Minister of Defence of Hungary, focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation across various sectors.
Discussions highlighted opportunities in economic, trade, and investment fields, with special attention to fossil energy, renewable energy, green hydrogen, agriculture, water management, and the exchange of expertise in science, technology, and space.
Both sides emphasised the importance of joint investments and committed to ensuring the successful implementation of the agreed-upon initiatives for mutual benefit.
The meeting was attended by senior officials from both nations, including energy and foreign ministry representatives, and marked a key step in advancing Oman-Hungary relations. – ONA
