Rabat: A group from the Omani Lawyers Association participates in a training course on commercial arbitration and arbitration in investment disputes which has commenced in Rabat, the capital of Morocco, at the Technopolis Institute, affiliated with the Moroccan Ministry of Justice.


The course features several legal activities focused on arbitration and its disputes, with the participation of numerous specialists. Dr Rashid al Wazifi, advisor to the Minister of Justice, delivered a speech highlighting the importance of the course, which underscores the Sultanate's interest in practical topics related to economics and law, and the significance of arbitration in resolving international disputes.


In his address, Dr Hamad bin Hamdan al Rubaie, Head of the Lawyers Association noted that the workshop, which invited seventeen participants from Oman, emphasizes the role of arbitration in international relations and the efforts of Omani laws to ensure arbitrators' rulings in economic matters are forward-looking.


The Sultanate of Oman is striving to enhance investment, especially foreign investment, and economic growth. Additionally, Dr Saeed bin Suleiman al Raisi, Vice President of the Association, stressed the importance of engaging more Omani lawyers in legal activities across various countries. He reaffirmed the Association's commitment to offering courses in areas such as criminal, economic, and labour law, which are of interest to law firms.
